Free transportation provided by Tri-Rail for Opening Summit

Leave traffic and gas price woes behind you.  Transportation to Seven50′s Opening Summit on June 27 is free.

Complimentary transportation to the Summit is being provided by the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority via Tri-Rail.

On June 27, the northernmost cars of the P619 train (http://www.tri-rail.com/rider_info/stm_wday.asp) traveling south from Mangonia Park and the P616 train traveling north (http://www.tri-rail.com/rider_info/ntm_wday.asp) from Miami will be staffed by Treasure Coast RPC and Tri-Rail “ambassadors” wearing pins who will provide every traveler with a Summit pin that will serve as his or her train pass to come and go to the summit. Other valid documentation to ride for free includes a print-out of the registration form, summit invitation, or webpage.

Transportation will be provided between the Delray Beach Tri-Rail Station and the Old School Square Cultural Arts Center. Upon arrival there will be a white shuttle provided by the city of Delray Beach waiting to escort attendees to the summit.

For those who wish to drive, directions to the Center and parking information are posted on the website. Click here for complete directions.

Coconut water will be provided for all attendees.

I tried to work out an efficient way to ride Tri-Rail to this event. I believe in public transportation, have experienced and appreciated the opportunity to enjoy the ride in Boston, DC & Berlin, Germany.

To ride the train recommended by the planners, I would not arrive at the event until after it began. To ride early, I would have to wait as long as 40 minutes at the station for a shuttle. Only when the necessary connections work, will Florida’s public transportation be a realistic option!
