SOUTH FLORIDA — Residents are protesting something called the Seven50 super plan.
Is it the long needed master-plan to better connect southeast Florida counties? Or a secret plot smacking of socialism, aimed at slowly changing our American way of life?
The massive long term plan, funded by the federal government, is called seven50. It stands for seven counties, fifty years.
Supporters say it’s the kind of direction this area needs for the future, from transportation projects, to more affordable low income housing.
Protestors want St. Lucie County leaders to pass a resolution saying the county won’t participate.
Indian River County has already passed a resolution opting out.
