TCPalm: Public work group sessions to help develop blueprint for southeast Florida

Southeast Florida Regional Partnership, a collaboration of hundreds of public, private and civic stakeholders from southeast Florida, announced the schedule for the Seven50 Road Show and Work Group Meetings.

Residents of the seven counties in the region — Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, Monroe, Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach — are invited to attend a half-day work group meeting in their respective counties.

The work group meetings are designed to secure the public input necessary to develop Seven50, Southeast Florida’s Prosperity Plan, a 50-year blueprint for building stronger, more diverse communities, protecting the ecosystem, and creating jobs and a resilient economy.

The work groups are focused on the following topics: education, workforce and economic development; development patterns in housing, transportation and healthy communities; regional leadership ; environment, natural resources and agriculture; community assets and culture; and climate resilience.

The meetings will be from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and are free to attend. RSVPs are requested but not required. Breakfast and refreshments will be served. RSVP forms and information are available at www.seven50.org. The schedule:

Oct. 24: Indian River State College, 2400 S.E. Salerno Road, Stuart.

Oct. 25: Indian River County Commission Chambers, 1801 27th St., Vero Beach.

Nov. 14: Port St. Lucie Civic Center, 2195 S.E. Airoso Blvd., Port St. Lucie
