NO DISSENT: The city of Stuart will participate in Seven50 — an organization tasked with developing a comprehensive plan for economic development and quality of life for seven Southeast Florida counties, including those on the Treasure Coast.
Stuart commissioners voted unanimously this week to join the organization.
The 50-year planning project is headed by the Treasure Coast and South Florida Regional Planning councils, which were awarded a $4.25 million grant in June 2010 through the national Sustainable Communities Initiative.
Indian River County and the city of Vero Beach recently withdrew from Seven50.
